In our assemblies, we seek to follow the pattern of worship found in the pages of the New Testament, governed always by the principle of worshiping God "in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).
Our worship is intended not only to honor God, but "that the church may be built up" (I Corinthians 14:26).
We are a group of Christians in the Lake Cumberland area, knit together in the love of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:2).
We are also a group of disciples, eager to share the saving message of the gospel (Romans 1:16).
And we are also a group of imperfect people, desiring to be molded into the image of God's Son (Romans 8:29).
Our goal as a church is primarily two-fold in nature:
1) To glorify God in all that we say and do (Ephesians 3:20-21);
2) To uphold God's truth as revealed in His word (I Timothy 3:15).
As the body of Christ, our work is governed solely by the will & authority of Jesus (Ephesians 1:22-23).
